Dear Friends, Colleagues, and Fellow Agents of Social Change,

We are sending you this email to announce an upcoming intensive module,
The Socially Conscious Body: Embodied Process Arts and Communication,
at Moving On Center. This module and the individual workshops within it
lead participants on an exploration of their bodies and minds to
discover how they interact with diversity and conflict.

The module utilizes Process Arts as an organizing concept, bringing the
idea of relationship building to the center of conflict analysis.
Brandon WilliamsCraig, Executive Director of Association Building
Community and a creator of the Process Arts concept, worked with MOC's
Executive Director in developing the structure and content of this
module during his four years as MOC's Administrative Director.

Association Building Community has supported MOC for many years in
their efforts to open the dialogue between the human body and mind as a
means of building community and bringing about a more socially
conscious world. We encourage you and anyone you think might be
interested to check out the possibility of participating in the whole
module, or taking one or more of the workshops. For more detailed
information, please visit www.movingoncenter.org.

Please pass along to any and all who might be interested!

Mornings are focused on expressive body arts practices that will
support the more theory-based work of the afternoons. Classes will
include the following workshops:
Authentic Movement with Susan Bauer, MFA, MA
Contact Improvisation with Brenton Cheng and Vitali Kononov
Voice through the Body with Carol Swann

Afternoons are spent focusing on systems that support interactive
communication and engagement. Workshops will include:

Laban Movement Analysis with Peggy Hackney, MA
Theater of the Oppressed with John Scott
as well as a weekend workshop on Body Mind Centering with Martha Eddy,

For students interested in a deeper exploration of these issues, we
encourage you to participate in the full module, Module students will
engage these issues through additional coursework in areas such as
Somatic Integration and Dialogues, Heart Circles and group advising
sessions. Students will then apply this work to the greater world
through a collectively organized Community Project.
